Wins 2013 Australian Growth Company of the Year Award
SYDNEY, 25 October, 2013: International payment provider OzForex Group Limited (ASX: OFX) has won the prestigious 2013 Australian Growth Company of the Year Award.
The award marks a stellar year for OzForex which has enjoyed continued global growth with extensive license expansion into the US market, a major partnership deal with global giant MoneyGram, and a hugely successful debut on the ASX.
The Australian Growth Company Awards celebrate excellence in the mid-market. They recognise companies that demonstrate high rates of growth, as well as innovation, integrity, contribution to community and sustainable growth. The awards are co-sponsored by Sparke Helmore Lawyers, Macquarie Capital, Deloitte, Westpac Institutional Bank, MYOB and the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCAL).
OzForex CEO Neil Helm says he's delighted to have won.
"We are thrilled to win the 2013 Australian Growth Company of the Year Award. It is recognition of the huge transformation we've gone through over the past couple of years, from a small Australian business, to an ASX listed company that has partnered with some of the world's biggest names in international payments," Mr Helm says.
OzForex was founded in 1998 and has since grown to be one of the world's largest online international payment companies, providing services across six continents. It recently listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and is the largest share sale in Australia this year, according to Bloomberg data.[1]
Nick Humphrey, Head of Corporate at Sparke Helmore, says OzForex displayed outstanding innovation, sustainability and integrity.
"Companies in the mid-market make an extraordinary contribution to the Australian business community and economy, which should be acknowledged and celebrated. The Australian Growth Company Awards give those involved in successful and growing Australian businesses, such as OzForex, the recognition they deserve," Mr Humphrey says.
The award tops a host of accolades for OzForex. It was also a finalist in the 2013 BRW GE Mid-Market Awards, highly commended in the NSW Export Awards 2013, and won the NSW iAwards for its White Label International Payment Solutions.
