OzForex Prepaid Travel Card - CLOSED

CLOSED 30 November 2015

After November 30 2015, the OzForex Prepaid Travel Card will be closed, you will not be able to log in to the customer portal, the Macquarie Cards contact centre will also be closed. For enquiries please contact Macquarie Cards on prepaidinquiry@macquarie.com  

The OzForex Pre-Paid Travel Card is to be withdrawn from the market on 30 November 2015 by OzForex and Macquarie Bank

We would like to thank customers of the OzForex Pre-Paid Travel Card and we apologise for any inconvenience this closure may cause.

Due to the closure of the OzForex Pre-Paid Travel Card, the Terms and Conditions (set out in the PDS) have been amended so that from 1 September 2015, funds cannot be loaded to the Card Account. 

Existing Customers with remaining funds after 30 November 2015

On 7 December 2015 Macquarie Cards will convert all remaining foreign currency balances on the Travel Card into Australian Dollars

Retrieve funds from my card

 

When will my card cease to work?

You can continue to use your card up until midnight 30 November 2015 (AEDST). We suggest, however, that you cease to use your card and make arrangements to retrieve any remaining balance as soon as possible. Log-in to the customer portal before mid night 30 November 2015 to initiate an EFT from your card to an Australian bank account.

Any funds remaining at 30 November 2015 will be treated in accordance with the OzForex Travel Card Terms and Conditions (set out in the PDS) and the unclaimed monies regulations. On the 7 December 2015 Macquarie Cards will convert all remaining foreign currency balances on the Travel Card into Australian Dollars

To retrieve your funds after the closure date, please contact the Macquarie Cards Service Quality Team in Sydney on prepaidinquiry@macquarie.com to arrange an Electronic Funds Transfer in accordance with clause 16.2 of the Terms and Conditions (as set out in the PDS).

If you have a positive balance on your travel card account and it remains inactive for three years, it may be considered unclaimed money under the Banking Act 1959. If the sum of any unclaimed money in your travel card account is greater than $500, we may be required to transfer your balance to ASIC.  Please refer to the Moneysmart website for further information about unclaimed money.

On the 7 of December 2015 all remaining foreign currency amounts will be converted into Australian dollars.

Can I still log into my travel card account?

Unfortunately because the card is now closed clients cannot log onto their cards.

How can I access my transaction history?

After 30 November 2015, you will need to contact the Macquarie Cards Service Quality Team on prepaidinquiry@macquarie.com to request your transaction history.

Retrieve funds from my card

Can I still access my funds and how? 

Unfortunately clients cannot access the remaining funds through the customer portal from midnight 30 November. Please contact Macquarie Cards Service Quality Team in Sydney on prepaidinquiry@macquarie.com to arrange a refund of the outstanding balances in Australian dollars.

How long will it take to receive my funds?

If you requested an Electronic Funds Transfer refund to your Australian bank account, the funds will be returned to your account within 7-21 business days.

How do I know how much I have remaining on the card?

Please contact Macquarie Cards on prepaidinquiry@macquarie.com to find out about your remaining balance. After the 7 December all remaining foreign currency balances will be converted into Australian dollars and held on clients’ accounts.

Can the remaining foreign currency amount be sent to another travel card? 

Unfortunately this is not possible. Macquarie Cards can only send to an AUD bank account..

What should I do with my card? Do I need to destroy it?

Please destroy the card after you have received all remaining funds via EFT from Macquarie Cards and dispose of it..

I no longer have an AUD account, what should I do?

Unfortunately Macquarie Cards cannot send to a non-AUD account. Macquarie Cards can only send to an AUD bank account. Please contact Macquarie Cards Service Quality Team in Sydney on prepaidinquiry@macquarie.com if you would like to discuss your matter further.

What happens to the converted funds after the 7 December 2015?

Macquarie Cards will hold the converted funds on your client account. Please contact them on prepaidinquiry@macquarie.com to claim your funds.
